Mama bird (102/366)
She didn't let me get any closer than this before ducking her head under her wing. I've seen nesting coots do this a lot, so presumably it's done to hide the white splotch on their heads? Or maybe she was just tired...

Primary colours (100/366)
Taken on the bus that smells like swimming pools. I love the textures in this one.

Plain sailing (99/366)
And because I didn't like the colours in the last post, here's a better bird-on-water picture.

Looking for dinner (98/366)
Back when I was an undergrad, the lecturer who taught Philosophy of Knowledge used coots and moorhens to illustrate all his basic points. You think you know which is which - but what if you're wrong? What if you're right, but only by chance? How do you know that you know this one's a coot, rather than a moorhen?
(fyi - it's a coot.)

Impressionist light (95/366)
Rooftops and the April sun, seen through a window next to the letting agents' office. A good omen for my new place?

More daffodils (93/366)
Spring means many, many daffodil photos. Don't they look like they're dipping their heads to drink?
